THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING <br /> <br /> BY-LAW NUMBER 3563/90 <br /> <br /> Being a by-law to amend By-law 247/75 <br /> prohibiting and regulating the <br /> discharge of guns, etc. within the <br /> Town of Pickering. <br /> <br />Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickerin9 <br />enacted By-law Number 247/75 on June 2, 1975 to prohibit and <br />regulate the discharge of guns, etc. within the Town of Pickerin9; <br />and <br /> <br />Whereas it is deemed expedient to amend this By-law to permit the <br />discharge of tranquilizing guns by Animal Control Officers; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF <br />PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Section 2 of By-law Number 247/75 is hereby amended by adding <br /> thereto the following: <br /> <br /> (d) A person who is employed as an Animal Control Officer may <br /> discharge any firearm that is used to tranquilize or <br /> restrain an animal. <br /> <br />By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this <br />first day of October, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />
