ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF KINGSTON ROAD, WEST OF LIVERPOOL ROAD 1. An explanation of the application, as outlined in Informati on Report 18/91, was gi ven by Chri s Wong, Seni or Planner. ~ 2. Richard Cornblum, on behalf of the applicant, stated it is di ffi cul t to fi nd tenants under the restri cti ons in the present by-law and is requesting temporary relief to permit non-conformi ng tenants who requi re the hi gh vi si bi 1 ity of Kingston Road and site size to locate while awaiting the results of the Main Central Area Study. 3. Jack Anderson, representing Met Starr Holdings, spoke in support of the app1 ication and asked for the same consideration for his client as they have a major tenant. He requested that the boundaries of the Main Central Area be expanded to i nc1 ude thi s property and stated that hi s client is willing to contribute financially to the study. ....... 2 (II ) REZONING APPLICATION A3/91 SUBMITTED BY DURHAM REGION ROMAN CATHOLIC SEPARATE SCHOOL BOARD AND THE ROMAN CATHOLIC EPISCOPAL CORP. (ST. ISAAC JOGUES CHURCH AND SCHOOL) ON THE NORTH SIDE OF LIVERPOOL ROAD, EAST OF DIXIE ROAD -- 1. An exp 1 ana ti on of the Information Report 16/91, P1 anner 1 . application, was gi ven as outlined in by Lisa Goodman, 2. Steve Shine, solicitor for the Durham Region Roman Catholic Separate School Board, stated there is no intention to change the use permitted on the property, that the rezoning is for joint usage of the parking facility and that the site plan agreement will ensure its use. (III) MINISTER'S ZONING ORDER AMENDMENT 18-Z0-0299002(1) AND REZONING APPLICATION A26/90 SUBMITTED BY 812751 ONTARIO IN. AT THE SOUTH END OF THE HAMLET OF CLAREMONT '-" 1. An explanation of the application, as outlined in Informati on Report 17/91, was gi ven by Jeanette Schul z, Planner 2. 2. Karsten Smith, appl icant, was in attendance to answer any questions. 3. Michael Senkiw, 3440 Old Brock Road, spoke in opposition to the application. He stated that the business venture is located in a residentially zoned area, that a medical facility is not needed, that the parking is insufficient for patients, staff and residents, that traffic and the volume of drainage will increase. He requested that the appl i cati on be refused as it wi 11 resul tin major adverse repercussions to the community. 4. Kim Drinkwater, 4805 Old Brock Road, spoke in opposition to the application. She stated the site is zoned residential, that more commercial and business ventures are not needed in the haml et, that there is a sharp dangerous angl e for traffic to negotiate and, as a member of LACAC, reiterated the Committee's opposition to the application. -- 5. Karsten Smith, applicant, stated the site was chosen because there are no more commercial sites in the business sector of the hamlet which have the septic capabilities and that the Health Department will support two legally zoned apartments. "-' 3 '-' (IV) OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT 89-75/D/P AND REZONING APPLICATION A2/89 SUBMITTED BY A. & L. ZAJC ON THE EAST SIDE OF BROCK ROAD, SOUTH OF TAUNTON ROAD 1. An explanation of the application, as outlined in Information Report 17/91, was given by Valerie Rodrigues, Senior Planner. 2. Jane Zajc was in attendance on behalf of the applicants. 3. Henry Kahn, Kahn Auctions, spoke in favour in principle of the application but wanted assurance that his concerns with respect to drainage and siting of the proposal are addressed. 4.
