THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PICKERING
BY-LAW NQ. 6788107
A By-law to confirm,the proceedings of the Cbuncilofthe
Corporation of the City of Pickering at its Council Meeting
of July 23, 2007.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 5(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001,.S.0. 2001, c.
M.25, as amended, the powers of a municip~lity shall be exercised by its councH;
and
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 5(3) ofthe said Act, a municipal power, including
a municipality's capacity, rights, powers and privileges under Section 80t the
said Act, shall be exercised by by-law unless the municipality is specifically
authorized to do otherwise; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of the Council of the
Corporation of the City of Pickering at this meeting be confirmed and adopted by
By-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OJ=: THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF
PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

1. The actions of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Pickering at its
Meeting of July 23 2007 in respect of each recommendation containooin
the Reports of the Committees and each motion and resolution passed
and other action taken by the Council of the Corporation of the City of'
Pickering at this. meeting, is hereby adopted and confirmed as if all such
proceedings wereexpresslyembbdied in this By-law;
2. The Mayor and proper officials of the Corporation of the City of Pickering
are hereby authorized and directed to do all things necessary to give
effect to the action of the Council of, the Corporation of the City 'of
Pickering referred to in the preceding section hereof;
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute all
documents necessary in that behalf and to affix thereto the Sealbf.the
Corporation of the City of Pickering.
