HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 6786/07 r THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 6786/07 Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 2520, as ' amended, to implement the Officia.1 Plan of the City of Pickering, Region of Durham in Part of Block Y, Plan M16, in the City of Pickering. (A 04/07) WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering passed By-law 6705106 on October 3,2006, to permrt the development of a mixed use development on Block Y, ,Plan M16, in the City of Pickering; AND WHEREAS By-law 6705/06 inetudes an "(H)" Holding Symbol preceding various zones on the lands, which has the effect of, preventing any mixed use development. of townhouse dwelling units and apartment buildings that contain commercial uses trom occurring until such time as the owners executes and registers a Performance Agreement to the City's 'satisfaction; AND WHEREAS the owners have now entered into a Performance Agreement, to the City's satisfaction; r AND WHEREAS an amendment to amending By-law 6705/06, to remove the "(H)" Holding Symbol preceding the various zones on the subject lands is therefore deemed appropriate; NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF ' PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOllOWS: 1. SCHEDULE I Schedules I, and /I to By-law 6705106, are hereby amended by removing the "(H)" Holding Symbol preceding the "RH/MU-4", "SA-lW", ,.SA-8" and "MD-H6" .Zone designations on the subject lands asset out on Schedules I and 'IJ attaChed hereto. 2. TEXT AMENDMENT Section 10 of By-law 6705/06 is her~by r~pealed. AREA RESTRICTED 3. r By-law 2520, as amended by By-law 6705/06, is hereby further amended only to the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law as setoutin Section 2 above, and as set out in Schedule I attached hereto. Definitions and subject matter not specifically dealt with in this by-law shall be govemedby the relevant provisions 01 By-law 2520 as amended. r By-law No. 6786/07 (Continued) r r 4. EFFECTIVE DATE This By-law shall come into force .in accordance with the provisions of the Planning Act.
