THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PICKERING
BY~LAW NO. 6654/06
Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 3036, as
amended by By-law 2658/88, to implement the Official Plan of the City of
Pickering, Region of Durham, Part of Lots 1 & 2, Plan 228, in the City of
Pickering. (A 04/06)
WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering passed
By-law 2658/88, being a by-law to amend By-law 3036, to permit the establishment of
multiple~residential uses, Part of Lots 1 & 2, Plan 228, in the City of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS By-law 2658/88 includes an "(H)" Holding Symbol preceding the
multiple-residential zoning, which has the effect of preventing multiple
dwelling-horizontal units until the owner enters into a development agreement with the
City of Pickering and a servicing agreement with the Region of Durham for sanitary
sewers and water supply for the purposes of any multiple dwelling-horizontal or multiple
dwelling-vertical uses;
AND WHEREAS the owner has now entered into a site plan agreement, to the City's
satisfaction;
AND WHEREAS an amendment to amending By-law 2658/88, to remove the
"(H)" Holding Symbol preceding the multiple~residential zoning on the subject lands is
therefore deemed appropriate;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. SCHEDULE I
Schedule I to By-law 2658/88, is hereby amended by removing the "(H)" Holding
Symbol preceding the "RMI" Zone designation on the subject lands as set out on
Schedule I attached hereto.
2. TEXT AMENDMENT
Section 5(4)(a) & 5(4)(b) - Holdinq Provision of By-law 2658/88, is hereby
repealed.
3. AREA RESTRICTED
By~law 3036, as amended, is hereby further amended only to the extent
necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law as set out in Sections 1 & 2
above, and as set out in Schedule I attached hereto. Definitions and subject
matter not specifically dealt with in this by-law shall be governed by the relevant
provisions of By-law 3036, as amended.

4. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof.
BY-LAW read a first, second, and third time and finally passed this 18th day of,
April 2006.
