THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PICKERING
BY-lAW NO. 6590/05
Being a by-law to declare that part of lot 38, Plan 270, designated as Part
8, Plan 40R-23867 and lot 39, Plan 270, now being Parts 9 and 10, Plan
40R-23867 surplus to the needs of the City of Pickering.
WHEREAS on February 21, 2005, the Council of The Corporation of the City of
Pickering passed Resolution 29/05, Item 2, establishing procedures to regulate the sale
of land pursuant to section 268 of the Municipal Act, as amended;
AND WHEREAS The Corporation of the City of Pickering wishes to declare certain
lands surplus to the needs of the Corporation;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOllOWS:
1.
The lands in the City of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham legally
described as that part of lot 38, Plan 270, designated as Part 8, Plan 40R-23867
and lot 39, Plan 270, now being Parts 9 and 10, Plan 40R-23867 are hereby
declared surplus to the needs of The Corporation of the City of Pickering.

2. The Mayor, City Clerk, Director, Planning & Development and City Solicitor be
authorized to obtain, prepare and execute all documentation necessary to effect
the sale of these lands in accordance with Resolution 29/05, Item 2:.
BY-lAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 16th day of January,
2006.
