MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT REPORT PD 10-05 DRAFT PLAN OF SUBDIVISION APPLICATION S-P-2004-04 ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 11/04 GRANT MORRIS ASSOCIATES LTD. ON BEHALF OF A., C., I. & M. LAZARDIDIS 1757, 1761 & 1765 FAIRPORT ROAD LOTS 19, 20 AND 21, PLAN 1051 Councillor McLean declared an interest in this matter because he owns r~ror>erty on Golden Ridge Road Approved See Recommendation #1 Executive Committee Meeting Minutes Monday, February 28, 2004 7:40 PM Chair: Councillor Johnson a) Michael Jain, 1771 Fairport Road, stated his objection to the application as eight homes will back onto his lot. He requested that Golden Ridge Road be extended. b) Grant Morris, representing the applicant, stated that he has no problem with Golden Ridge Road going through the subject lands and advised that all Provincial policies and other policies were examined. He further advised that a meeting was held with Mr. Jain who indicated his desire to sell his property. OTHER BUSINESS Councillor Ashe acknowledged the presence of former Councillor Enrico Pistritto in the Chambers. Councillor Brenner advised that the demolition of homes on Federal Lands has been stopped until a meeting is held with the stakeholders on March 11th. -2- Executive Committee Meeting Minutes Monday, February 28, 2004 7:40 PM Chair: Councillor Johnson Councillor McLean inquired into the move of the heritage home from Balsam Road to the Museum. Councillor Pickles questioned if a demolition permit is required if applied for by the Federal Government. Mayor Ryan noted that the City cannot designate heritage properties on Federal lands without the express consent of the Federal Government. {IV) ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 8:02 pm. 3 Appendix I Executive Committee Report EC 2005-04 That the Executive Committee of the City of Pickering having met on February 28, 2005, presents its fourth report to Council and recommends: PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT REPORT PD 10-05 DRAFT PLAN OF SUBDIVISION APPLICATION S-P-2004-04 ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 11/04 GRANT MORRIS ASSOCIATES LTD. ON BEHALF OF A., C., I. & M. LAZARDIDIS 1757, 1761 & 1765 FAIRPORT ROAD LOTS 19, 20 AND 21, PLAN 1051 That Draft Plan of Subdivision Application S-P-2004-04 be APPROVED to permit the development of a plan of subdivision for 18 lots, as submitted by Grant Mords Associates Ltd. on behalf of A., C., I. & M.. Lazardidis, on lands being Lots 119, 120 and 121, Plan 1051, City of Pickering, subject to the conditions outlined in Appendix I to Report PD 10-05; and That Zoning By-law Amendment Application A 11/04 be APPROVED to establish performance standards to permit the development of a plan of subdivision containing 18 detached dwelling units as submitted by grant Morris Associates Ltd. on behalf of A., C., I. & M. Lazardidis, on lands being Lots 119, 120 and 121, Plan 1051, City of Pickering, subject to the conditions outlined in Appendix II to Report PD 10-05; and That staff be DIRECTED to complete informational revisions to the Urban Neighbourhood - Neighbourhood 7: Dunbarton, of the Pickering Official Plan and the Dunbarton Neighbourhood Design Guidelines to reflect the revised road network created through approval of Draft Plan of Subdivision S-P-2004- 04. CORPORATE SERVICES REPORT CS 13-05 FORMAL QUOTATIONS QUARTERLY REPORT FOR INFORMATION That Report CS 13-05 of the Director, Corporate Services & Treasurer concerning Formal Quotations - Quarterly Report for Information, be received and forwarded to Council for information. -4- Appendix I Executive Committee Report EC 2005-04 CORPORATE SERVICES REPORT CS 17-05 CASH POSITION REPORT AS AT DECEMBER 31, 2004 That Report CS 17-05 from the Director, Corporate Services & Treasurer, concerning Cash Position Report as at December 31, 2004, be received for information. PROCLAMATIONS: "RED CROSS MONTH" "INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF RACIAL DISCRIMINATION" "ATV SAFETY WEEK" 'YOUTH SCIENCE MONTH" 1. That Mayor Ryan be authorized to make the following proclamations: "Red Cross Month"- March, 2005 "International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination" - March 21, 2005 "ATV Safety Week" - May 9 - 15, 2005 "Youth Science Month"- March, 2005 -5-
