Moved by Councillor Brenner
Seconded by Councillor McLean
That pursuant to Section 239(4) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, the Council of
The Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a closed meeting to
discuss a matter of potential litigation.
CARRIED
Councillor McLean reported that there is an item on the Regional Finance Committee
agenda for it's meeting on February 2, 2005 respecting the public alerting project.
Council considered the Notice of Application submitted by various landowners in the
Agricultural Assembly.

Seconded by Councillor Brenner
That the Notice of Application, Court File No. 35273/05, from various landowners in the
Agricultural Assembly and all attendant correspondence be received; and
That this Council reconvene to considered this matter upon the submission of further
material by the applicant in support of the Notice of Application; and
That the Solicitor for the City be directed to seek an adjournment of the hearing on
February 7, 2005 respecting this Notice of Application; and
That the Solicitor for the City be instructed to act on behalf of the City of Pickering with
respect to this Notice of Application and report back to Council on matters regarding this
Notice of Application.
