BY-LAW NO. 6401/04
Being a by-law to ratify the terms of a
Memorandum of Settlement dated October
25, 2004 between the Corporation of the City
of Pickering and Canadian Union of Public
Employees, Local 129 respecting a Collective
Agreement for 2004/2007 and to authorize
the execution of that Collective Agreement.
WHEREAS, pursuant to sections 276, 281, 282, and 283 of the Municipal Act, S.O.
2001, C.25, as amended, the Council of the Corporation of the City of Pickering may
pass by-laws for providing various forms of remuneration, pensions, benefits and
insurance for municipal employees.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The Memorandum of Settlement dated October 25, 2004 between the
Corporation of the City of Pickering and Canadian Union of Public Employees
Local 129, a copy of which is attached hereto as Attachment 1, is hereby ratified.
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Collective Agreement,
between the Corporation of the City of Pickering and Canadian Union of Public
Employees Local 129 respecting the period beginning April 1, 2004 to March 31,
2007.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 9th day of November,
2004.
