Introductory Remarks - Mayor Ryan
This meeting is being held in order to enable the public to understand the content
of the proposed Development Charges By-law and to allow the public to make
representations relating to the proposed By-law.
Mr. C. Watson of C.N. Watson and Associates Limited distributed a document
entitled "Overview of the City of Pickering 2004 Development Charge
Background Study" and provided a summary of that Study.

Mr. Roger Miller, UDI, Durham Chapter, stated their interest in the Development
Charges advising that they had submitted a letter with a number of questions.
He thanked Council for taking time to consider and respond to his inquiries.
Closing Remarks - Mayor Ryan
All comments will be considered pdor to the preparation of the final draft of the
Development Charges By-law which is expected to be considered by the Council
of the City of Picketing at its meeting scheduled for Monday, July 26, 2004. Any
further comments or questions about the proposed Development Charges Study
and By-law should be referred to Mr. Gil Paterson, Director, Corporate Services
and Treasurer.
