Resolution #33/04
Moved by Councillor Pickles
Seconded by Councillor McLean
That pursuant to Section 239(4) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, the Council of
the Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby resolves to conduct a closed meeting to
discuss a financial matter.

Moved by Mayor Ryan
Seconded by Councillor Brenner
1.
That Confidential Report to Council OES 09-04 regarding a request from the
Pickering Aerials Gymnastics Club for immediate financial support be received;
and
2.
That Council approve a one time grant in the amount of $46,000, as a pre 2004
budget approval, to assist the Pickering Aerials Gymnastics Club with the
expansion of the Aerials training facility to a larger space at 1095 Kingston Road;
and
3.
That Council authorize the Director, Corporate Services & Treasurer to charge
this grant to Account #2195 (Grants to Organizations and Individuals) as a 2004
Current Budget Expenditure; and
4.
That the appropriate City of Pickering officials be authorized to take the
necessary actions to give effect thereto.

Council considered the following motion in conjunction with the above resolution:

Seconded by Councillor Brenner
That the above resolution be amended by adding the words 'a one-time grant in the
amount of $46,000.'
CARRIED
The Chief Administrative Officer advised Council of a personnel issue.
