HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 2624/87 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING ByiLAW NUMBER 2624/87 Being a by-law to amend By-law 741/77 to govern the construction and demolition of buildings and structures within the Town of Pickering Whereas, pursuant to the provisions of the Building Code Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 51, section 5(2)(c), the council of a municipality may pass by-laws prescribing the amounts of fees payable on applications for and issuance of permits thereunder; Now Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering hereby enacts as follows: 1. Section 1 of Schedule "A" to By-law 741/77 as remade by By-law 1244/81 is hereby revoked and the following substituted therefor: l. BUILDING PERMIT FEES 1. For construction of a building, an addition to a building and for renovation of a building, including roofing, a fee of, (a) $10.00 for every $1,000.00 or part thereof of the Inspector's valuation of the cost of the proposed work, or {b) $40.00, whichever is greater; 2. For moving or relocation of a building or part thereof, a fee of, (a) $10.00 for every $1,000.00 or part thereof of the Inspector's estimate of the value of the building or part thereof after moving or relocation and work associated therewith is completed, or (b) $40.00. whichever is greater. 2. This by-law shall take effect on January 1, 1988. By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 7th day of December, 1987. ~/~yo r'
