THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PIC RING

Being a By-law of the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering to appoint a Town Manager
WHEREAS Section 352 (53) of The Municipal Act.,
Revised Statutes of Ontario 1970, Chapter 284, authorizes the
appointment of certain officers for the purpose of the Corporation;
AND WHEREAS Section 214 of The Municipal Act, Revised
Statutes of Ontario 1970, Chapter 284 authorizes the Corporation
to appoint by by-law a Chief Administrative Officer;
AND WHEREAS By-law number 682/77 established the
position of Town Manager and authorized the appointment of a
person to the position.,
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the
Town of Pickering that:
1. Noel C. 'Marshall be and he is hereby appointed
Town Manager for the Town of Pickering.
2. The duties of the said Town Manager shall be those
as defined in By-law Number 682/77
3. That he assume the duties of Town Clerk until such
time as an appointment is made to this position.
4. By-law Number 225/75 be' and the same is hereby
repealed.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and PASSED in open
Council this X day of frill , 1977.
