Being a By-law to amend By-law Number
3821/74 regulating the operation of
noisy machinery and regulating and pro-
hibiting noises calculated to disturb
the inhabitants of the Town of Pickering
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township
(nosy Town) of Pickering passed on June 1st, 1970 By-law
Number 3821/74 regulating the operation of noisy machinery
and regulating and prohibiting noises calculated to disturb
the inhabitants of the Township (now Town) of Pickering,
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend that By-law
at this time;;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN
OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS.
1. Section 7 of By-law 3821/70 is hereby revoked and the
following substituted therefor:
7. Any person or corporation that contravenes any of
the provisions of this By-law shall be liable ulon
conviction thereof to a fine not exceeding One
Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each offence,
exclusive of costs, recoverable under the provisions
of The Summary Convictions Act.
