THE CORPORATION CF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
BY-LAW NUY.PExR
Being a By-law of the Corporation of
the Town of Pickering to require the
holding of an election to fill the
vacancy in the office of local
councillor in Ward 3
WHEREAS pursuant to subsection (1) of section 45,
of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1974, C.284, as amended, where
a vacancy occurs is the office cf a r:.Grrber of the Council
of a local municipality, the Council may by by-law require
an election to be held to fill the vacancy;
AND WHEREAS a vacancy has occurred on the Council
of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering by virtue of the
resignation of Local Councillor Gerald Fisher on the 24th
day of ,7une, 1977, frog the positim of Local Counci-llor,
Ward 3;
NOW THEREFORE the Councia of The Corpotration of
the Town of Pickering hereby enacts as follows:
1. An election shall be held to fill the vacancy
in the position of local councillor -n Y;arc 3
as successor to Councillor Gerald Fisher.
