BY-LAW INUMBER
Being a By-law of the Corporation of
the Town of Pickering to appoint a
member of the Council of The Regional
Municipality-, of Durham
WHEREAS pursuant to subsection (4) of section 13 of
The Regional. Municipality of Durham Act, 1973, S.C. 1973, C.78,
the Council of the area municipality shall by by-law within thirtl-
days after a vacancy occurs appoint a successor, who may be a
member of the Council or a person who is eligible to be elected .1
member of the Council to hold office for the remainder of the tern
of his predecessor;
AND WHEREAS a vacancy has occurred on the Council of The
Regional Municipality of Durham by virtue of the resignation
therefrom, orb the day of -- 1977 of Councillor

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the.
Town of Pickering hereby enacts as _follows:
