DISPOSITION
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
BY-LAW NUMBER 7'7
Being a By-law of the Corporation of
the Town of Pickering to appoint a
member of the Council to act in the
place of the heart of the Council
from time to time
WHEREAS pursuant to subsection. (3) of section 209 c
The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, C.284, as amended, the Council
of any municipality may by by-law appoint a mer•her of the
Council to act from time to tir:e in the place of the head of
the Council when the head of the Council is absent from, the
municipality or absent from the rnunicipalaty or absent
through illness or his office is vacant and, while so acting,
such member has and may exercise all the rich ts, kokers jnc
authority of the head of the Council;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation o
the Town of Pickering hereby enacts as fellows:
is hereby appointed to
act from time to time in the place of the head of
the Council when the head of the Council is absent
from the municipality or absent through illness
or his office is vacant and, while so actino, such
member shall have and may exercise all the rights,
powers and authority of the head of the Council.
By-law Number 0020/74 is hereby repealed.
By-law, read a First, Second and Third time and PASSED this
