Being a By-law to amend By.-law Nurber
3818/70, 2gulating garbage dumps and
the depositing of garbage, refuse, waste
or any other material on private or public
property.
WHEREAS By-law :dumber 3818/70, passed Julie lst, 1Q70,
regulates garbage dumps and the depositing of garbage, refuse,
waste or any other material on private or public property and
prohibits the creation of nuisar.ces;
AND WHEREAS it is desirous to amend that By-law in part{
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF HE CORi}ORATION OF THE TOWN
OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 5 of By-law 3818/70 is hereby repealed and the
following substituted therefor:
5. Any person who contravenes any of the provisions
of this By-law shall be liable upon conviction
thereof to a fine not exceeding One Thousand Dollars
($1,000.00) for each offence, exclusive of costs,
recoverable under the provisions of The Summary
Convictions Act, and in default of payment, to
imprisonment in the cor:._aon gaol for a period not
exceeding ten (10) days, unless such fine and costs
are sooner paid.
By-law read a first, second and third time and PASSED
this ae day of 1977.
