BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH A HIGIIWAY ACROSS A PORTION OF LOT NUMBER FOURTEEN IN
Tile FIRST CONCESSION OF 'rile TOWNStlIP OF PICKERING.
W~[EREAS a safer and more direct road From Picketing Village to the Picketing
Station of the Grand Trunk Railway is required and For the better conven-
ience of the travelling public;
TliMRMFORE the Municipal Council of tile Township of Picketing ENACTS:
TI~AT that portion of Lot Ntunber Fourteen in the First Concession of the
said Township of Picketing hereinafter described, shall be and is hereby
erected into and established as a Public I[i~hway of this Municipality,
that is to say:
Commencing on the ,~est limit of the said Lot South 16 degrees
East 17 chains and 10 links more or less From the South limit of Henderson
Street in the said Village of Picketing (an4 on the north limit of land
now owned and occupied by John Howland on the said Lot) then North 74
degrees East 7 chains 75 links to the North Mast angle of Howland's land
and West limit oC John Andrew's land on the said Lot; then North 74 degrees
Mast one chain then South 16 degrees East 11 chains 60 links more or less
to the West limit of a certain road, then South 14 degrees 35 minutes West
1 chain 40 links more or less, then North 16 degrees West 12 chains GO
links more or less, then South 74 degrees West 7 chains 75 links to the
east limit of the road between Lots 14 and 15 in the said First Concess-
ion, then North 16 de~rees West 1 chain to the place o£ beMinning which
constitutes a Public liighway Sixty-six Feet in width.
