HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 526 BY'LAW TO ESTABLISH A PUBLIC I[1GtlWAY ACROSS LOT EIGIITEEN 1N TIlE NINTH CONCESSION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TIlE TOWNSttIP OF PICKERING, AND FOR CLOSING UP A PORTION OF TIIE ORIGINAL ALLOWANCE FOIl ROAD BETWEEN LOTS NOS. 18 & 19 IN THE 9TI{ CONCESSION OF THE SAID ~fUNICIPALIT¥ OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING. ~IEREA$ it is necessary in the intemest o£ the public to establish a public hi.g~hway across Lot Eighteen in the 9th Concession of this M~uqicipality, and to close up a portion of the original allowance for road between Lots Nos. 18 & 19 in the 9th Concession of the said M~aicipality; TIIEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Township of Picketing C.TS FO _LOW.S: 1, THAT the following described lands shall be and are hereby constit- uted and erected into a public highway of this Municipality, viz: Commencing at a point on the West limit of said Lot Number Eighteen South sixteen degrees East 36 chains and 56 links from the North ~ I West angle thereof; Thence North ?4° East fourteen chains and 38 links , more or less to the West Limit of the Brock road; Thence Southerly along said limit 86 links to the present Railway fence; Thence South along said fence to a point 47 links; l~hence South 74° West on a course one chain South of first mentioned course and parallel thereto 13 chains and ~4 links to the West limit of said Lot No. 1S; Thence North 16° West along said limit one chain to place of beginning. 2. THAT that portion of Road allowance between Lots Nos. 18 & 19 in the 9th Concession of this Municipality hereinafter described be and the same is hereby closed and stopped up for pu~lic travel: Conunemcing at the South limit of the hereinbefore established roa~, runnin~ thence South to the point where tile said }load allowance mer~es into the Brock road. 3.Ail By-Laws, or parts of By-~aws, inconsistent with this By-Law, be and the same are hereby repealed.
