The Council of The Corporation of the Township of
Pickering, in accordance with the provisions of The
Planning Act, R. S. 0. 1970 as amended, hereby enacts
as follows:
1. The attached explanatory text, which
constitutes Amendment No. 2 to the
Official Plan of the Township of
Pickering Planning Area, is hereby
adopted.
2. That the Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to make application to
the Minister of Municipal Affairs
for approval of the aforementioned
Amendment No. 2 to the Official
Plan of the Township of Pickering
Planning Area.
3. This By--law shall come into force and
take effect on the day of the final
passing thereof.

(b) SUBMISSION
The following text constitutes
Amendment No. 2 of the Township of Fiekering,
Planning Area, and is here jith submitted for
the approval of the Minister of +un:icipa.l
Affairs.

ITEM 1
LOCATION: Community 13 (Industrial)
STATE14ENT : In view of the current and projected
need to attract industry and in view of
the current contraversy.over, the location
of a regional Sewage Treatment Plant. which
plant is necessary to service most of
Community 13 with sanitary sewers, it is
desirable to amend the. Official Plan to
permit industrj_al development by consent
or plan of subdivision to develop without
sanitary sewers. As a condition of such
development, agreement must be obtained
to support installation of sewers by
local improvement if and when they are
available.
CHANGE: Section 5.2.1 (b )
Add to the end the following:
Industrial development including plans of
subdivision in Community 13, which cannot
be serviced with sanitary sewers, may be
permitted to develop with municipal viater,
storm sewers and approved septic tanks,
provided such approvals are conditional
upon a registered agreement, that the
owners of the lands concerned will support
a local improvement petition to install
sanitary sewers if and when they become
available.

by the Township of Pickering Planning Board and was
recommended to the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering under the provisions of Sections
12 and 17 of the Planning Act R. S. 0. 1970 as amended,
on the day of 197 .

This amendment to the Official Plan of the
Township of Pickering Planning Area, which has been
recommended by the Township of Pickering Planning
Board and adopted by the Council of the Township of
Pickering, is hereby approved in accordance with
Sections 14 and 17 of The Planning Act R. S. 0. 1970
as amended, as Amendment No. 2 to the Official Plan
of the Township of Pickering Planning Area.
