A By-law of the Corporation of the
Township of Pickering authorizing the
Reeve and Clerk to sign an agreement
with the Village of Picketing relating
to the Boundary Roads.
BE IT ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
Picketing that the Reeve and Clerk be, and they are hereby
authorized to sign the attached agreement described as
Schedule "A" to this by-law between the Township of Picketing
and the Village of Picketing relating to the maintenance of
the Boundary Roads.
By-law read a first, second and third time and PASSED in
open Council this 15th day of September, 1969.

401, herein referred to as the Village Portion.
2. Th~ To%~ship and the Village ~dortaks ~d agree, one with
tho other, that during the term hereof the Village will
assume J~risdlction over and will maintain and repair tho
VillaKc Portions of the bo~nda~ roads kno~,,~ as Notion Read
and Greenwood Road and the To,.nshlp will assume jurisdiction
over gna will mrintaln and rcpcir the To~msnip Portions of
tho boundn~- rends known ss l%~tion ,{oad and Green~ood l~ad
and will inder_nify and save ha~ess the other from ~y loss
or damage arisin~ from the want of repair of sash portion.
During the te~ hereof each Corporation is, %~%th respect ~o
the portion under its jurisdiction, liable for any d~ages
incurred by reason of neglect ~o ~.aintain and keep the same
in repair, and the Corporation is relieved from all liability
in respect cf its maintenance and repair of sash port.on.
4. 14ore specifically this agreement shall cover liability for
normal road maintenance and repair such as: -
a, Weed Control
Grading of Roads
a. Winter Sno:¢ Control and Sanding
d. Routin~ addition of gravel %o maintain road surfaco.
Capita] Works on the boundar~~ roads such as rcconatruction~
