Being a By-law to authorize the
construction and equipping of an
indoor ice arena.
WHER~S it is deemed advisable to construct and equip an
indoor ice arena in Lot 19 in Range 3 of the To.ship of Picketing
to provide part of the facilities required for a recreational
area for the surro~ding lands.
AND W~R~S the Council of the Corporation of the To.ship
of Pickerin~r~as agreed to construct such indoor ice arena at an
estimated cost of ~ and to issue debentures for part of
this cost repayable over a period of 20 years;
NOW THEREFO~ THE CO~CIL OF THE CORP0~TION OF T~
TO.SHIP OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOW:
1. That an indoor ice arena be constructed on part of Lot 19
in Ran~3 of the To.ship of Pickering and equipped at an estimated
cost o~~O.
That ~ere shall be borrowed for the purpose set out in
Clause 1 the s~ of ~,_,,~ __ which s~ shall be a charge against
all the rateable property in the To.ship of Picketing.
That the special rate to pay for the said indoor ice arena
shall be paid in 20 annual instalments.
Pending sale of the debentures to be issued to finance the
works herein the Head of the Council and the Treasurer may raise for
the purpose aforesaid by way of loan on such debentures any s~ or
s~s of money not exceeding in all the s~ hereby authorized to be
borrowed and may hypothecate such debentures for such l~n.
