BY-LAW NUMBER
being a by-law to amend By-law
1909 with respect to bus stops
and taxicab stands.
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend By-law 1909.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Subsection (a) of Section 3 of PART III of By-law
1909 is hereby repealed and the following substituted therefore:-
(a) No person shall stand or park a motor bus
or taxicab upon any street in any business or residential
district at any place other than at a bus stop or taxicab
stand respectively, except that this provision shall not
prevent the driver of any such vehicle from temporarily
stopping the vehicle in accordance with other stopping
or parking regulations at any place for the purpose of
and while actually engaged in loading or unloading
passengers.
