being a By-law to authorise the con-
struction of a fire hall to be located
on Part Lot 19, Concession i of the
Township of Pickering at an estimated
cost of $1~0,000.00 and to authorize
the borrowing of the sum of $1~0,000.00
upon debentures for that purpose.
WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to construct a fire
hall on Part Lot 19, Concession i in the Township of Picketing;
AND WHEREAS the total cost of the said fire hall,
$1~0,000.00, will be levied by an annual rate against all the
rateable property in the Township of Picketing over a period
of 20 years.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That a fire hall on Part Lot 19, Concession i of
the To~nship of Picketing shall be constructed at a total
estimated cost of $1~0,000.00.
2. That there shall be borrowed for the purpose set
out in Clause i the sum of $1~0,000.00 which sum shall be a
charge against all the rateable property in the Township
of Picketing.
3. That the special rate to pay for the said fire hall
shall be paid in 20 annual instalments.
4. Pending sale of the debentures to be issued to
finance the works herein the Head of the Council and the
Treasurer may raise for the purpose aforesaid by way of loan
on such debentures any sum or sums of money not exceeding
in all the sum hereby authorized to be borrowed and may
hypothecate such debentures for such loan.
