BY-LAW NUMBER
A By-law to appoint a new member to
Council for the term of office expiring
Becember 31st, 1969, due to the
resignation of an elected member.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Picketing is required under Section 150, Subsection 3 of The
Municipal Act to appoint a person to fill the vacancy for the
unexpired term of office of a member whose seat has become vacant.
AND WHEREAS the Councillors are not elected by general
vote.
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of The
Township of Picketing hereby enacts as follows:
THAT Robert Mason be and is hereby appointed to sit as .~
Councillor of Ward 2 in the Township of Pickering for the unexpired
term of the member of Council whose seat has become vacant and _
would normally have expire~ as of December 31st, 1969.
READ a First, second and third time and PASSED in open Council
this ~ ~ day of November, 1968.
