A by-law of ~ Co,ration of
the T~ship of Picketing to
authorize s~ed l~its
~S Subsection 6a of Section 59 of the Highway Traffic
Act (R.S.O. 19~0, ~apter 172) authorizes the Council of a
T~ship or County ~ by-law to prescr~e a l~er or high-
er rate of spe~ for motor vehicles on a highway or ~rtion
of highway under its jurisdiction that is not within a
built-up area or suburban district than is prescrib~ in
Clause A o~ Subsection I of Section 59, but such rate of
spe~ shall not be less than 35 miles ~r hour or more than
~ ~S it is de~ exp~ient that the spe~ l~it for
motor vehicles on certain high~ys in the Municipality of
the T~ship of Picketing be either decreas~ or increas~
or both ~

icipality of the T~ship of Picketing ~acts as foll~s=
1. ~en any highly or portion of highly set out in
Schedule "A" append~ hereto is mark~ in compliance
with the regulations under ~e Highway Traffic Act
the max~ rate of spe~ ~ereon shall be the rate
of s~ed prescrib~ in the sch~ule.
2. ~e penalties provid~ in subsection 12 of section 59
of ~e Highway Traffic Act shall apply to offences against
this by-law.
3. ~is by-law shall not become effective until a~rov~ by
the Depar~ent of Transport.
