TO AUTHORIZE an application to the Ontario Municipal Board for a
Quieting Order.
WHEREAS THE MUNICiP,LL CORPORATIONS QUIETING ORDERS ACT provides a
municipality with the authority to make application to the Ontario Munici-
pal Board for a quieting order to establish its proper area and boundaries
and its legal existence and corporate status as a Township municipality and
in order to quiet any doubts affecting the same;
THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
PICKERING
· ooooo.o................................., enacts as follows:
(1) THAT the head of the council and the clerk be a~d
are hereby authorized and instructed to apply to
The Ontario Municipal Board for a Quieting Order
pursnant to the provisions of The Municipal Corpo-
rations Quieting Orders Act, R.S.O. 1960, Chap. 251.
(2)T~L'~T by-law No..o..~.2288 enacted for the same purpose
is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
