A By-law of the Corporation of
the Township of Picketing to
establish a Community Centre at
Mount Zion
WHEREAS provision is made for the establishment of a
Community Centre and Athletic Field in Ontario under the
Community Centres Act, 1960,
AND WHEREAS it is desired to establish a Community
Centre on Lot ? in the Seventh Concession known as the
former schoolhouse of School Area ~1 (S.S.13) in the
Township of Pickering;
THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Township of
Picketing ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That a Community Centre defined as a Community Centre
under the Community Centres Act~ 1960, and the
regulations thereunder be established at Lot ?,
Concession Seven (?) known as the former schoolhouse
of School Area ~1 (S.S.13) and that the said Community
Centre be administered by the following Board, duly
appointed for the ensuing year:
Ralph Jones
Murray Jones
Frances Empringham
~alter Pascoe
Reginald Haskins
Councillor D. Beer
Deputy Reeve Mrs. J. L. McPherson
2. That the said Community Centre shall be maintained as a
Community Centre by the said Board in conformity with
the Act and regulations made thereunder.
3. That the said Community Centre shall be known as the
Mount Zion Coms~unity Centre.
