BI-LAW NUMBER
A By-law to establish charges for extracts
of 'township of Pickering Records or
Doc~nents or of the Assessment Rolls or
Documents concerning Assessment.
WHEREAS under provisions of Section 216 of the Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 1960, chapter 249, it is provided that the Clerk
may supply copies or extracts of certain documents as set out
therein and which may be supplied to any person requesting the
same on application by such person for such a copy or copies
at a rate noted therein or at such other rate as the Council
may fix.
NOW TNEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT where an extract is required from any of the Assess-
merit f[olls as returned by the duly appointed County
Assessment Commissioner, such extract shall be supplied
upon req~lest and a fee of fifty cents shall be charged
for each and every extract respecting each and any one
individual assessment.
2.(a),9here a copy is requested of any other document in the
possession of the Township Clerk and which the sranting
of a request is not in conflict with Section 210 of
the Municipal Act, or
(b)Where a copy is requested of any other document in the
possession of the Assessment Commissioner and ~ich the
granting of the request is not in conflict with Section
216 of the Assessment Act.
(c)The same shall be provided upon payment of fifty cents
for each one i~undred words or a rate of one dollar and
fifty cents a page.
(d)For the purpose of this section a page is defined as a
sheet eight and one half inches by eleven inches, typed
double spaced, with margins of one and one quarter inches
on all sides.
