BY-LAW NUM~ ~
being a by-law to authorize the Reeve and
Clerk to execute contracts for the construe-
tion of watermains, sanitary sewers and
private connections therefrom on East Avenue,
Lawrence Avenue and Chester Hill Road.
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to construct watermains on Lawrence
Avenue East from 350 feet west of East Avenue to Chester Hill
Road, on Chester Hill Road from Lawrence Avenue East to 750
feet northerly therefrom, and on East Avenue from Lawrence Avenue
East to 3500 feet north of Lawrence Avenue East together with
private connections therefrom; and to construct samitary sewers
on Lawrence Avenue East from Chester Hill Road to 350 feet west
of the west limit of East Avenue, on Chester Hill Road from
approximately 200 feet northeast of the west limit of Plan 319
to Lawrence Avenue East, and on East Avenue £rom approximately
460 feet wouth of East Willow Gate to 932 feet south of East
Willow Gate, together with private connections therefrom.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Township of Picketing has received
a tender made by Bennington Developments Limited for the constr~e-
tion of the said sayiitary sewers and private connections at a
cost of $15,150.55, and has received a tender from the said
Bennington Developments Limited for the construction of the said
watermains and private connections at a cost of $51,047.36.
NOW THEREFORE BE 1T AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED:
1. That the Reeve, Clerk and Engineer be authorized to
accept on behalf of the Township of Pickering a tender dated
Novembe$ 1964 from Bennington Developments Linzited for the con-
struction of sanitary sewers and private connections therefrom
in the amount of ~15,150.55 and to execute all contract docu-
ments necessary to complete the said works.
2. That the Reeve, Clerk and Engineer be authorized to
accept on behalf of the Township of Pickering a tender dated
November, 1966, from 2ennington Developments Limited for the con-
struction of watermains and private connections therefrom in the
amount of $51,047.36 and to execute all contract documentsl
necessary to complete the said works.

3. The cost of the construction o£ the said sanitary
sewers and prj~vate c9?nections ~ere£rom in the the amount of
$15,150.58//and the cost o£ the construction of the said water-
mains and private connections there£rom in th~ amount o£
$51,047.36 is to be paid out o£ the e~t Funds.
