BY-LAW NO. ~J~7
Being a by-law to provide for the
participation of the Township
of P!ckerinK Fire Department
in County Mutual Aid.
WHEREAS The Municipal Act authorizes the councils of
all municipalities to enter into agreements with other
municipalities for the use of firefighting equipment
or any of it:
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of
the Township of Pickering ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Township of Pi qkeri~g
Fire Department be authorized to leave the limits of the
municipality or fire area, at the discretion of the Chief and
under the direction of the Oshawa Fire Chief, to respond to
calls for assistance from other municipal fire departments
authorized to participate in the Ontario
County Mutual Aid System or any other County Mutual Aid
System on a reciprocal aid basis.
2. In case the provisions of this by-law conflict with the
provisions of any other by-law, the provisions of this by-
law shall prevail.
