BY-LAW NUMBER ,3,20~
Being a By-law to authorize an application
to the Ontario Municipal Board for an Order
to change the Ward Boundaries in the Township
of Pickering.
WHEREAS By-law Number 2160 of The Corporation of The
Township of Pickering passed on the 3rd day of April, 1956,
divided the Township into five Wards.
AND WHEREAS By-law Number 2578 of The Corporation of
The Township of Pickering passed on the 20th day of February,
1961, altered the Ward Boundaries between Wards 3 and 4.
AND WHEREAS the population of the Township of Pickering
has expanded to the extent that the existing Wards do not
represent a fair distribution of the population.
AND WHEREAS Section 13 of The Municipal Act,RoS.O.
1960, Chapter 249, provides for a municipality to apply to the
Ontario Municipal Board for an Order to re-divide Wards.
NOW THEREFORE be it enacted by the Council of The
Corporation of The Township of Picketing as follows:
That The Corporation of The Township of Pickering be
and the s~me is hereby authorized to make application to the
Ontario Municipal Board for an Order to alter the Ward boundaries
as defined in By-law Numbers 2160 and 2578, pursuant to Schedule
"A" annexed to this by-law and made part thereof.
The Council shall comprise a Reeve, Deputy Reeve and
five Councillors, one Councillor shall be elected from each
Ward with the Reeve and Deputy Reeve elected for the whole
Township.
This by-law shall become effective on a date approved
by the Ontario Municipal Board.
By-law Numbers 2160 and 2578 be and the same are
hereby repealed.

BY-LAW NUMBER 320~
The various Wards shall comprise %he following lots:
(A) Ward 1 shall comprise all of Lots 21 to 35 inclusive
in Concessions 1 to 9 inclusive, save and except
that triangular part of land lying south of The
MacDonald C~rtier Freeway to the Baseline Road in
Concession 1, Lots 21%0 24 inclusive.
(B) Ward 2 shall comprise all of Lots 1 to 6 inclusive,
in Ranges 2 and 3, and Concessions 1 to 9 inclusive
all of ~ots 7 %o 20 inclusive from the MacDonald
Cartier Freeway to the 9th Concession inclusive, save
and except the areas which comprise the Town of Ajax
and the Village of Picketing.
(C) Ward 3 shall comprise all of Lots 13 to 22 inclusive
in Concessions B.F. Kange 2, B.F. Range 3 and Concession
1 lying south of the MacDonald Cartier Freeway, save
and except the areas which comprise the Town of Ajax
and the Village of Pickering.
(D) Ward 4 shall comprise all of Lots 23 and 24 in
Concessions B.P. Range 3 and Concession 1 lying south
of the MacDonald Cartier Freeway and all of Lots 25
to 29 inclusive in B.F. Ranges 2 and 3.
(E) Ward 5 shall comprise all of Lots 30 to 35 inclusive
in Concessions B.P. Range 1, B.F. Range 2, and
B~F. Range 3.
