A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING DESIGNATING
THROUGH HIGHWAYS IN THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING.
WHEREAS Clause 26 of Subsection 1 of Section 1 of the Highway Traffic
Act~.S.O. 1960, Chapter 172) provides that:
"through highway" means any highway or part of a highway
designated as such by the ~iniste~ o~ by by-law of a
municipality appl~oved by the Department. and every such
highway shall be marked by a Stop sign or Yield RIGHT-OF-WAY
sign in compliance with the regulations of the Department.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the municipality
of the Township of Pickeming ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The following highways, or parts of hlghways~ under the juris-
diction of the {.Iunicipali%y of the Township of Pickeming is
designated as a through highway:

S~vice Road 50' east of Fairpo~t Rd 50' west of Liverpool Road
,~ The designation in Section 1 of this by-law of a highway or
part of a highway as a through h~ghw~y shall not include any
inte~sectlon thereon wheme the road mntemsected is a King's Highway,
or where traffic control signals ape installed.
This by-law shall not become effective un~il approvedby ~he
DepaPtment o~ Tpanspomt and until signs ame on display in
%~ compliance with the pegulatlons of the Department,
