HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 3052 (DRAFT - 1 20 September 1965) THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER .. BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2520, as amended. WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Picketing deems it desirable to further amend ~h~ provisions of By-law Number 2520, as amended. NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Picketing ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: A - TEXT AMENDMENTS 1. That Section 2.33 be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto, after the word "balcony", the words "basement recreation room or". 2. That Section 2.75.1 be added which shall read as follows: Trailer 2.75.1 "Trailer" shall mean any vehicle so constructed that it is suitable for being attached to a motor vehicle for the purpose of being drawn or propelled by the motor vehicle, and capable of being used for the living, sleeping or eating accommodation of persons, notwith- standing that such vehicle is Jacked up or that its running gear is removed. 3. That Section 5.7 be and the same is hereby deleted. 4. That Section 5.22 be amended by adding thereto paragraphs (e) and (f) as follows: 5.22 (e) No parking shall be permitted in any front yard in any multiple- family dwelling zone ~x~e~t ~ ~e case of sln~le--f~mily or semi-detached structures, (f) No parking shall be permitted in any side yard, other than within wholly enclosed structures, accessable by a'-minimum entrance way having an unobstructed perpendicular width of fifteen (15) feet except in the case of single-family or semi-detached structures. 5. That Section 6.6 be and the same is hereby deleted and the following inserted therefor: 6.6 VEHICLE PARKING No person shall, in any Residential Zone, use any lot, building or structure for the parking or storage of motor vehicles or trailers except in accordance with the following provisions: continued ............ . - 2 - a) Definition: For the purpose of this section a stationwagon or one-half (1/2) ton truck shall not be deemed to be a commercial vehicle. b) Within Enclosed Buildings: The owner or occupant of a lot, build- ing or structure in any residential zone may use any enclosed building or structure accessory to the main build- ing or structure erected on the same lot, for the housing of one (1) trailer, one (1) commercial vehicle and not more than three (3) privately owned motor vehicles. c) Exterior Parking: A maximum of three (3) privately owned motor vehicles and one (1) trailer not exceeding eighteen (18) feet in length may be temporarily parked on any lot in a residential zone. d) Commercial Vehicles: The temporary parking of any commercial vehicle shall be permitted in a-resident- ial zone for the purpose of delivering to or servicing the premises. That By-law Number 2520 be and the same is hereby repealed and amended ~ to the extent ne*eseary to give el'Teez to the provisions of this By-law. No part of this By-law shall come into force without the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board, but subject to such approval, the By-law shall take effect from the day of passing thereof.
