HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 3039A BY-LAW ~OR PROHIBITING THE USE OF LAND AND STRUCTURES FOR STORING USED MOTOR VEHICLES FOR THE PURPOSE OF WRECKING OR DISMANTLING THEM OR SALVAGING PARTS THEREOF FOR SALE OR OTHER DISPOSAL. WHEREAS Section 379 (1) Paragraph Il3 of Chapter 2&9 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario states: By-laws may be passed by the councils of local municipalities: ll3. For prohibiting or regulating and inspecting the use of any land or structures for storing used motor vehicles for the purpose of wrecking or dismantling them or salvaging parts thereof for sale or other disposal. BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED that no person shall use any lands or structures, located in the Township of Picketing, for the storage of used motor vehicles for the purpose of wrecking or dismantling them or salvaging parts thereof for sale or other disposal. EX~PTIONS: This by-law shall not stop the holder of a license under By-law Number 2603 as amended by By-law No. 2950, or the holder of a license under By-law Number 2947 from operating for any of the purposes which the license permits but this exemption does not extend to permitting the holder of a license under By-law Number 2603 as amended by By-law No. 2950 to operate for any of the purposes licensed under By-law No. 2947, unless such person holds a license under By-Law Number 2947. A Penalty of up to Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) plus costs shall be imposed upon every person who contravenes the provisions of this By-Law and every such penalty shall be recoverable under the provisions of The Surmmary Convictions Act. This By-Law shall be effective as of the date of the passing of this By-Law.
