A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING DESIGNATING THROUGH
HIGh,WAYS IN THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING AND TO AMEND BY-LAW 2428.
WH~EAS Clause 26 of subsection 1 of section 1 of The Highway Traffic Act
(R.S.O. 1960, Chapter 172) provides that:
"through highway" means any highway or part of a highway
designated as such by the Minister or by by-law of a
municipality approved by the Department, and every such
highway shall be marked by a step sign or yield right-of-
way sign in compliance with the regulations of the
Department;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of the
~Township of Picketing ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
!\~ 1. The following highways or parts of highways under the
~' jurisdiction of the Municipality of the Township of
'\ Pickering are designated as through highways:

Highway or where traffic control signals are installed.
.~' That By-Law 2428, clause 1, section 13, be amended
fromMontgomery Park Road - from west limit of Sandy
Beach Road to the Town of Ajax
t~o Montgomery Park Road - from 50 feet east of Brock
Road to the Town of Ajax
This by-law shall not become effective until approved by the
Department of Transport and until signs are on display in
compliance with the regulations of the Department.
