AUTHORIZE A PROJECT IN OBSERVANCE AND COMMEMORATION OF THE
CENTENNIAL, ,
WHE_REAS the Confederation Centennial Act 1962-63 provides
that Municipal Councils may make expenditures for or grants
toward the observance or the commemoration of the centennial;
AND WHEREAS it is desirable to observe and commemorate the
Cen't'enniaf by the creation of a Nineteenth Century Ontario
Village on the Picketing Township Museum site at Lot 19,
Concession 5, Highway 7 west of the village of Brougham;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Municipal Corporation of the
To~"nsh'iP of Picketing ENACTS__ AS_ FOLLOWS:
~. THAT in observance and commemoration of the Centennial,
~f/~ ~/t" the Corporation shall, for the purpose of creating a
Nineteenth Century Ontario Village, build and assemble
buildings, materials and furnishings in accordance with
Schedule "A" attached hereto, at an estimated cost of
Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00).
2. THAT the Reeve and Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
~.-/"'~' and directed to make applications pursuant to the provisions
· of the regulations made under the Confederation Centennial
Act 1962-63 for a grant in aid of the project.
3. This by-law shall not take effect until the approval of the

been obtained.
