A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO
EXEMPT CERTAIN FARMERS FROM GARBAGE RATES IN THE YEAR 1965.
WHEREAS Section 37(1) of the Assessment Act provides that farms
on-'~less than five acres shall be exempt or partially exempt
from certain rates if By-law is passed by Council prior to March 1 in
any year;
AND WHEREAS all owners of farms in the garbage area have been
advised that they may be excluded from such service and rates, and
the following persons only have expressed their desire to be
excluded from such services;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Council of the Municipal Corporation
~f the Township of Picketing that the following properties be exempt
from garbage rates and service in the year 1965 as the owners have
requested such properties to be exempt:
