HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 2925 B Y - L A W N U M B E R ~ ~ '~> A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING DESIGNATING THROUGH HIGHWAYS IN THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING AND TO AMEND BY-LAW 2428. WHEREAS Clause 26 of subsection 1 of section 1 of The Highway Traffic Act (R.S.O. 1960, Chapter 172) provides that: "throu§h highway" means any highway or part of a highway designated as such by the Minister or by by- law of a municipality approved by the Department, and every such highway shall be marked by a stop sign or yield right-of-way sign in compliance with the regulations of the Department~ NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of the Township of Picketing ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: The following highways or parts of highways under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of the Township of Picketing are designated as through highways: Name of Street From To Sandy Beach Road 50' south of Base Line Lake Ontario Road  ' The designation in section 1 of this by-law of a highway ° or part of a highway as through highway shall not include any intersection thereon where the road intersected is a King's Highway or where traffic control signals are installed. That By-Law 2q28, clause 1, section 13, be amended fromMontgomery Park Road - from west limit of Sandy Beach Road to the Town of Ajax to Montgomery Park Road - from 50 feet east of Sandy Beach Road to the Town of Ajax. This by-law shall not become effective until approved by the Department of Transport and until signs are on display in complience with the regulations of the Department.
