A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO ESTABLISH
A COMMUNITY CENTRE IN BROUGHAM.
WHEREAS the Township of Picketing has owned and operated a hall in
the Hamlet of Brougham since 1856;
AND WHEREAS provision is made for the establishment of a Community
Centre under the Ontario Community Centres Act 1949;
AND WHEREAS it is desirable to establish a Community Centre at Brougham
in the Township of Picketing;
THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickerlng
ENAdT$ AS FOLLOWS:
T~AT a Community Centre defined as a Hall under the Community Centres
Act, 1949, and regulations thereunder and that the said Community
Centre be administered by the following Board duly appointed for
the en&uing year (see Community Centres Amendment Act 1954):

Harvey Spang Brougham, Ont.
William G. Newman Brougham, Ont.
John E. Campbell Brougham, Ont.
Hubert Wank Brougham, Ont.
THAT said Community Centre shall be maintained as a Community Centre
by the said Board in conformity with the Act and regulations made
thereunder.
BY-LAW read a First, Second and Third time, and PASSED this
day of ~/~.~ 1964.
