A BY-LAW OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF
PICKERING TO PROVIDE FOR A VOTE BEING TAKEN OF THE ELECTORS
ON THE QUESTION, "ARE YOU IN FAVOUR OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A TOWN-
SHIP OF PICKERING ARENA?"
BE IT ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Corporation
of the Township of Picketing:
1. THAT a vote of the electors be taken on the question,

//~75.2. In this By-Law "electors" sh&ll mean persons entitled to
vote on money by-laws.
3. The votes of the Electors shall be taken on the said
~ question on the Seventh day of December, A.D. 1963,
: between the hours of 10 o'clock in the forenoon and
eight o'clock in the afternoon, at the various Polling
Booths at the same time and place as the Municipal
Elections are held.
~; 4, On the 5th day of December, A.D. 1963, at the hour of
~ 10 o'clock in the forenoon, the Head of the C~uncil of
· the said Corporation, or some member of the said
Council appointed for that purpose by resolution, shall attend at
the office of the Clerk of the said Municipality, in the Village
of Brougham, for the purpose of appointing, and if requested so
to do, appoint by writing, two persons to attend the final
summing up of the votes by the Clerk- one person to attend
on behalf of the person entrusted in the voting in the affirmative
on the said question, and a like number on behalf of the persons
interested in and voting in the negative on the said question.
5. On the 9th day of December, A.D. 1963, at the hour of 10
o'clock in the forenoon, at the office of the Clerk of the
~! Municipality, the Clerk shall attend and sum up the votes
.~ given in the affirmative and negative on the said question.
