A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO
AUTHORIZE THE REEVE AND CLERK TO ACCEPT BLUEPRINTS OF CERTAIN
C~ANGES RE CANADIAN NATIONAL RAILWAY BY-PASS AT SPRUCE HILL
ROAD.
WH~.REAS due to grade it has been found that the original
survey for new load from Spruce Hill Road to Fairport Road
is not practicable and the Canadian National Railway has
requested such road be built ~50 feet northerly;
AND WHEREAS to compensate pedestrians, the Canadian National
Railway has agreed to build, at no cost to the Township~ an
elevated pedestrian walk across the Canadian National Railway
right-of-way at Spruce Hill Road;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the
Township of Picketing that the Reeve and Clerk be hereby
authorized to sign on behalf of the Corporation blueprints
which would permit the Canadian National Railway to:
~' MOVE the proposed by-pass road between Spruce Hill Road
and Fairport Road approximately ~50 feet northerly.
2. Build a pedestrian elevated crossing over the Canadian
National Railway By-Pass at Spruce Hill Road.
all as per blueprints submitted.
