A BY-LAW TO OPEN A ROAD THROUGII PARTS OF LOT 28 & 29 IN THE 3RD
CONCESSION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING.
BE IT ENACTED by the ~{unicipal Coumcil of the Township of Picketing
and it is hereby enacted That the road surveyed and laid out by John
Grant, a Deputy Provincial Surveyor, through part of the western portion
of the third concession of the said Township of Picketing as appears by
his report to the Council aforesaid bearing date the 20 April last,
which site of a Road as aforesaid may be more definitely described and
denoted as follows, that is to say,
Commencing at the North western angle of Lot 29 in the 3rd Con-
cession of the said Township of Picketing on a course South 85 degrees
East 2 chains 75 links thence South 54 degrees East 1 chain 97 links
thence South 90 degrees East 3 chains thence North 72 degrees 30 minutes
East 4 chains 71 links thence North 55 degrees 45 minutes East 7 chains
44 links thence along the northern limit of the said 3rd Concession
4 chains and 83 links from the last mentioned point, thence South 41
degrees East 3 chains, thence South 75° East 2 chains 50 links, thence
South 25 degrees East 1 chain 55 links thence South 13 degrees West
2 chains 16 links, thence South 35 degrees 30 minutes West 1 chain
41 links, thence South 32 degrees East 15 chains to the intersection
of the Road Established by the late Home District Council near the
centre of said Lot No. 28 leading to the Forrest Mills. The said
Road to be of the full width of Forty feet and situate on the northern
and Eastern side of the line above described, be and the same is hereby
established as a public Road or Highway. Be it further enacted by the
authority aforesaid that the petitioners requiring the Survey of said
Site for the Road as aforesaid hereby established shall pay to the
said Surveyor his legal charges for the same.
