A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO
AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2678 to PROVIDE THAT THE TOWNSHIP BE NOT
REQUIRED TO MATCH DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR RAISED BY THE AREA FOR
PARK OPERATING PURPOSES.
WHEREAS By-Law Number 2678 passed March 26, 1962, provided
that the Township would match expenditures for parks~ dollar
for dollar, with amount contributed by the local area;
AND WHEREAS Council by Resolution Number 128/63 passed
May' 16, '~963, stated that the Township of Picketing would
not further be required to match dollar for dollar for this
purpose;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Corporation of the Township
1. of Picketing that C~ause ~ of By-Law No. 2678 reading:
"Within the limits of the Parks and Recreation
Committee budget, as approved by Council, the
Township will match the expenditures of Parks
Boards from their own funds for park purposes"
BE AMENDED to read:
Within the limits of the Parks and Recreation
Committee budget, as approved by Council, the
Township will contribute to the expenditures of
Parks Boards for Park operating purposes.
2. Within the limits of the Parks and Recreation Committee
budget, as approved by Council, the Township will match
the expenditures of Parks Boards from their own funds
for capital cost of Parks.
BY-LAW read a First and Second time this 8rd day of June, 1963.
BY-LAW read a Third time and PASSED this 3rd day of June, 1963.
