A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO APPOINT
A MUSEUM COMMITTEE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING.
WHEREAS the Township of Picketing Historical Society was organized
in 1959 and their main project was the acquiring of a building to
be used as a museum, and said museum is now filled with articles 6f
historic interest;
AND WHEREAS the Museums Advisor of the Department of Travel and
Publicity advises that to secure provincial grants, it is necessary
that the members of a Museum Committee shall be appointed by Council,
and that two members of such Committee be Council members;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
Pickering that the following named persons shall comprise the Town-
ship of Pickering Museum Committee for the year 1962:
