A by-law to amend By-law No. 2696 of the
Corporation of the Township of Pickering
authorizing the purchase of certain lands
and the borrowing of money upon debentures
in the amount of $$0,500~00
WHEREAS By-law No. 2696 was finally passed by the ~nicipal
Council of the Corporation of the Township of Picketing on the llth
day of June, 1962.
AND WHERFAS the Corporation desires to amend the said By-law
No. 2696.
THEREIrORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Picketing enacts that By-law No. 2696 is hereby amended
as follows:
1. The words and letters "sub-section 1:49" contained in the
first line of the first recital on the first page of said By-law No.
2696 are hereby deleted and the words and figures "sub-section (~--~8~ /--(~--~ ~'
are hereby substituted therefor.
2. ~e words "and within one year" on the second line of para-
graph numbered 4 on page 2 of said By-law No. 2696 are hereby deleted
and the words "during the year 1962" are hereby susbstituted therefor.
3. Paragraph numbered 6 on page 2 of said By-law No. 269b is
hereby deleted and the following substituted therefor:
"6. The said debentures shall be sealed with the seal of
the Corporation and signed by the head of the council, or by
some other person authorized by by-law to sign the same and
by the Treasurer. The said interest cm~pons shall be signed
by the Treasurer and his signature to them may be written, or
e~graved, lithographed, printed or otherwise mechanically
reproduced. The signature of the head of the council of the
Corporation to the said debentures issued by the Corporation
may be written or engraved, lithographed, printed or otherwise
·
mechanically reproduced."
