By-law No.
TO ~IEND By-law number 2659 declaring
sub-section 1 of section 1 of the
Lord's Day (Ontario) Act 1900 to 1961
to be in force within the limits of
the Township of Pickering.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF
PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 2 of By-law number 2659 is amended
by deleting the same and substituting the following:-
"2. The application of the said
section of the said Act shall be
limited to the following public
games or sports:
bowling, lawn bowling, ~
Indoor
tennis, ba~ninton, s~-~~
water sports, golf, baseball w~th_~ ~
hard ball and soft ball." ~
2. The following section 3 shall be added to the
said By-law:
"3. The aforesaid public games and
sports named in this By-law shall
be subject to the following regula-
tions and controls:
(i) No such public games or sports
shall commence before half past
one o'clock in the afternoon.
(ii) Every such game or sport shall
be conducted in an orderly and
seemly manner."
