BEING a By-law to a~end By-[aw No. 1486 passed on the 2nd day
of Hay 1951 authorizin~ the Corporation of the Township of Plckerin~ to
enter Into an a~ree~ent w~th the Hydro Electric Power C~[ssion of
On~ario to provide street lighting for the Hamlet of Hrou~ha~.
~ERE~S by said By-law No, 148&, 60~ of the cost incurred under
the said a~ree~ent was to be collected by an annual special rate upon
the taxable property lying within the said area end 40~ of ~he said cost
was to be paid by the Corporation of the Township of Picketing.
A~D Wdgl~S it is desired to a~end ~he said By-law to provide
that 100~ of the cost incurred under the said a[ree~ent after the
day of , 1962 be paid by an annual special rate upon the
taxable property lytn~ within the said area with the exception of $3~0.00
of the capital cost which ~s to be pa~d by the Township of Plckering in
the year 1962o
I~OW ?~OI~E the I~un~cipal Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Picketing enacts as follO~s~
(1) That paragraph 5 of the said By-law No, 1486 aforesaid be
mended by deleting the sa~e and substi~uting the following therefor~
~3. That 6(P~ of the cost incur~d under the said a~ree~ent for
street lighting in the area therein described be raised, levied and
collected by an ~nnual special rate upon the taxable property lying within
the sa~d area until the day of , 1962 and thereafter that
100% of the said cost with the exception of $3~0,00 of the capital cost
which is to be l~td by the Township of Picketing in the year 1962 be raised,
levied and collected by an ~nnual special rate upon the ta~able property
lying within the said area.~
(2) That paragraph 4 of t~he said By-law No. 1486 aforesaid bo
anended by deleting the sa~e and substituting the following tharefor~
~4o That 40~ of the cost incurred under the sa~d a~re~ent for
street lighting in the area therein described be paid by the Corp~'ation
and be ch~'geable to the aunicipality as a whole until the day of
, 1962 and thereafter no part of the said cost shall be so

paid or chargeable w~th ~he excep~on of $360000 of the capital cost
~hich is to be pa~d by the Township of Picketing in the year 1962.#

BEIN~ a By-law to amend By-law No, 1486 passed on the lnd day
of Hay 1951 authorizing the Corporation of the To~rnship of Picketing to
enter into an agreement with the Hydro Electric Power gomnission of
Ontario to provide street lighting for the Ha~et of Brougham.
WHEREAS by said By-law No. 1486, 60% of the cost incurred under
the said agreement was to be collected by an annual special rate upon
the taxable property lying within the said area and 40% of the said cost
was to be paid by the Corporation of the Township of Picketing.
AND WHERFAS it is desired to amend the said By-law to provide
that 100% of the cost incurred under the said agreement after the / ~
day o~~// , 1962 be paid by an annual special rate upon
the
taxable property lying within the said area with the exception of $360.00
of the capital cost which is to be paid by the Township of Picketing in
the year 1962.
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Picketing enacts as follows:
(1) That paragraph 3 of the said By-law No. 1486 aforesaid be
amended by deleting the same and substituting the following therefor:
~, That 60% of the cost incurred under the said agreement for
street lighting in the area therein described be raised, levied and
collected by an annual special rate upon the taxable property lying within
the said area until the / Y~ day of~~ , 1962 and thereafter that
100% of the said cost with the excepti%n of $360.00 of the capital cost
which is to be paid by the Township of Picketing in the year 1962 be raised,
levied and collected by an annual special rate upon the taxable property
lying within the said area."

amended by deleting the same and substituting the following therefor:
