A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO
PERMIT PUBLIC GAMES AND S?0PTS FOR GAIN ON SUNDAYS.
WHEREAS at the municipal elections held in the Township of
~ng on the 9th day of December, 1961, the followin~
question was submitted to the electors:
"Are you in favour of public ~ames and sports for
gain after 1:30 o'clock in the afternoon of the Lord's
Day?"
AND WHEREAS the vote of the electors on the question was in
the affirmative;
AND WHEREAS the question as submitted as aforesaid was
substantially in the same terms as the question set out in
subsection 5 of Section 1 of The Lord's Day (Ontario) Act,
1960-61;
THO COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERIN~ ENACTS
AS FOLLOWS:
1. Subsection ] of Section ] of The Lord's Day (Ontario) Act,
1960-61 applies within the limits of the Township of
Pickeriny.
2. No public games or sports shall commence before half past
one o'clock in the afternoon or continue after twelve
o'clock midnight.
